Jay-Z: Size doesn’t matter! It’s what you do with it that counts

Jay-Z has had quite a bit of criticism come his way for saying he is co-owner of the Brooklyn Nets, when in fact, he only owns a small fraction. In answer to the criticism, Jay-Z said: Size doesn't matter.

The rapper pushed back at his critics while performing at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn New York where he's performed every night since Saturday. Speaking to his audience, he said, "It doesn't matter what percentage. The story is that a black kid from a single parent house made it from [the Marcy Projects] from about six minutes away from here. So the fact that I have any ownership in this franchise is fucking amazing. The fact that I have any ownership in this venue is fucking amazing. Don't let them diminish your accomplishment or dim your shine. It's fucking amazing."
It is rather difficult to disagree with the rapper when he puts it that way. To come from the projects and end up in Jay-Z's position is remarkable. What Jay-Z's critics say is that it's not enough to just be remarkable. It's admirable to rise to the top but what's makes a man more remarkable is what he does with his position once
he gets to the top.
Jay-Z rubs shoulders with President Barack Obama and the First Lady and is reported to have Donald Trump on speed dial so clearly, he is an accomplished man and no one can dispute that.
Jigga is right, size doesn't matter, it's what you do with it that counts. So the real question is what is Jay-Z doing with this.
