Joke: There is a monkey in the bar

A man walks into a bar and orders a beer. He takes his first sip and sets it down. While he is looking around the bar, a monkey swings down and steals the pint of beer from him before he is able to stop the monkey.
The man asks the barman who owns the monkey.
The barman replies the piano player. The man walks over to the piano player and says "Do you know your monkey stole my beer." The pianist replies "No, but if you hum it, I'll play it."

Joke: I'm trying to prove a point

A man drinks a shot of whiskey every night before bed. After years of this, the wife wants him to quit; she gets two shot glasses, filling one with water and the other with whiskey.
After getting him to the table that had the glasses, she brings his bait box. She says "I want you to see this." She puts a worm in the water it, and it swims around.
She puts a worm in the whiskey, and the worm dies immediately. She then says, feeling that she has made her point clear, "what do you have to say about this experiment?"
He responds by saying: "If I drink whiskey, I won't get worms!"

Biggest cannabis haul from Ghana seized at Heathrow Airport

Border officers at Heathrow Airport have made their biggest cannabis seizure in three years after containers arriving on a plane from Ghana were found with drugs worth £4.3million.
The drugs, which weighed around 1.5 tonnes and had a street value of £4.3 million, were found in three separate freight containers filled with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Border Force officials found the cannabis in tape-wrapped compressed packages within boxes on the flight from Accra on Monday.
After being seized the drug was taken under armed escort to a secure location, where it will be stored until it is incinerated.
Marc Owen, Heathrow Director for Border Force, said: "This was smuggling on an industrial scale. It is a
significant quantity of cannabis, our biggest seizure of this kind in several years at Heathrow.
"The fact we have stopped it reaching the streets of the UK will make a substantial dent in the profits of the criminals responsible.
"The international drug trade is a vile business that Border Force officers play a key part in disrupting." Officers are trying to discover the intended destination of the drugs.

Jessica Cox suffered a rare birth defect and was born without any arms. None of the prenatal tests her mother took showed there was anything wrong with her. And yet she was born with this rare congenital disease, but also with a great spirit.
The psychology graduate can write, type, drive a car, brush her hair and talk on her phone simply using her feet. Ms Cox, from Tuscon, Arizona, USA, is also a former dancer and double black belt in Tae Kwon-Do. She has a no-restrictions driving license, she flies planes and she can type 25 words a minute.
The plane she is flying is called an Ercoupe and it is one of the few airplanes to be made and certified without pedals. Without rudder pedals, Jessica is free to use her feet as hands. Her flight training took three years instead of the normal six months to earn her lightweight aircraft licence, had three flying instructors and practiced 89 hours of flying, becoming the first pilot with no arms.

A LITTLE WEED AND THREE SIBLINGS(A PREVIEW)

Sitting here in this class waiting for my very first masters lecture, a girl walked past my table and knocked off my blackberry phone from the table and she bent to pick up the phone only to raise her face looking starstruck, turned out it was her nude picture that was the wallpaper on my phone. She asked quietly how I got the picture and outta the initial annoyance of her attempting to break one of my most prized assets replied with "how the f**k does that concern you?!"

and at that moment it struck me and pulled her outta the class towards my car and without resisting she got into the car with me and watched silently as I drove off to a
quiet location on campus. "was that you?" I asked eagerly like I didn't know the answer, that meant she was the girl I picked up from the club four years ago in my undergraduate years when I was still a young and wild student and it happened she was one of the few to actually matched my "wildness".
Let's take a detour into my past. I was high on weed that night and it was a Wednesday night, restless and hungry, I did head out to the nearest restaurant to the house in anticipation to fill my belly then head home to sleep only to notice the company of three girls dressed like they were going for a party and the youngest of them caught my eye and attention. they introduced themselves as tolu, Tomi and Temitope. Tomi and temi are sisters and tolu being their cousin. Temitope was the youngest and was nicknamed tush because she has high taste for fashion and at that point had just finished high school.
So I offered to buy them a meal so as to listen more to their ordeals and this lead to three different stories which I named Temitope the tush, Tomi the Barbie and tolu the damsel.

Tolu the damsel

Tolu is a dark skinned, pink lipped, tinted haired damsel. She schooled abroad far away in Malaysia as a physiotherapist and hopefully wants to be a physio for a top England football club. She's the eldest of the crew and can easily convince the girls. She is also very independent and has her own money from trading on local fabrics abroad and latest designer wears here in Nigeria. She has a boutique in the high end Lagos. She was the first to notice the stench of marijuana on me and asked where she could get some and after few
attempt at denying it, I told her she should follow me home, she said she heard it was a ladies free night at a club in town and they intend to dance that night. I told them they should wait for me while I try to find a cab and made me look like a fool when they drove up beside me in a lemon colored Volkswagen bug.

Google launches Nexus 7 tablet in Japan

TOKYO: Google said Tuesday it was launching its Nexus 7 tablet computer in Japan, aiming to take on Apple's iPad in one of the most lucrative markets in the world.
The Nexus 7′s 16 gigabyte model, powered by the latest generation of Android software is available to order at Google Play starting Tuesday and will hit store shelves on October 2.
Priced at 19,800 yen ($255), it comes in around half the price of the lowest spec third generation iPad
available in Japan.
Speaking at an event at a Tokyo hotel, executive chairman Eric Schmidt said the rapid-fire growth of its Android operating system would help Google's seven-inch tablet catch on in Japan.
"Android has grown so fast it's hard to keep up," he said. "There are now more than 500 million Android
users around the world."
A survey Google conducted showed 75 per cent of Japanese smartphone owners use their devices for
shopping, he noted. "That points us to the next enormous growth business in Japan," he said, adding there was "a new wealth that can be created around the Japanese shopping experience".
Google's Android operating system is the mainstay for many of Apple's rivals in the lucrative smartphone industry, growing rapidly around the globe.
In a bold, and expensive, move to tap into that growth, Google itself paid over $12 billion to buy the Motorola Mobility handset business. But that move raised questions over how Google would balance its own mobile device hardware with supplying the operating system for companies that are now rivals in the intensely competitive race to catch up with Apple's hit iPhone.
Google has launched Nexus 7 in other markets such as Australia, Canada, Britain, and the United States.

24 feared dead as flash flood hits northeast India

A flash flood triggered by torrential  rain has killed at least nine construction workers and left 15 others missing and feared dead in India's remote northeast.
Karma Zyatso, chief secretary of Sikkim state, says the workers, who lived in camps, were swept away by
the swirling waters of a flooded river Friday in Chungthan, a small town in the mountainous region.
Zyatso said Sunday that authorities had recovered nine bodies and were searching for the 15 missing
workers, who were building roads. He also said helicopters dropped food supplies to nearly 10,000 people living in six villages cut off due to damage to the main highway in the area, about 550 kilometers (310 miles) west of Gauhati, the capital of Assam state.

Apple seeks more damages in wake of win against Samsung

In a massive US court victory, a California jury declared on August 24 that the South Korean electronics giant should pay Apple $1.049 billion in damages for illegally copying iPhone and iPad features for its flagship Galaxy S smartphones.
But in a court document filed late Friday, Apple said it "is requesting an amendment to the existing verdict and a total judgment" of more than $707 million, noting that the amount it received did not adequately cover Samsung's infringements on its patents.
In another document, Samsung underscored that "the court's constraints on trial time, witnesses and exhibits were unprecedented for a patent case of this complexity and magnitude, and prevented Samsung from presenting a full and fair case in response to Apple's many claims." Samsung "therefore respectfully requests that the Court grant a new trial enabling adequate time and even-handed treatment of the parties," the document said.
Apple and Samsung have been at loggerheads over dozens of patent lawsuits in 10 nations, accusing each other of copying technologies and designs. While the US verdict was seen as victory for Apple, a Japanese court rejected its claim that Samsung stole its technology and also awarded legal costs to the South Korean firm.

The victim's brother, Fiaz Ali, said in a police statement that his father was angered after a lady that Shagufta worked for as a maid, offered her a position in a beauty salon. The younger sister said that Shagufta was beaten by her father the night before her death when she announced her intention to join the salon. She said that the family intervened and they thought the debate was closed. But in the night she woke up and saw her father taking Shagufta away, holding a piece of rope and an axe in his hand. Tragedy- Nigerian Police Shoot Dead Innocent Man Who Wedded 5 Days Ago

Gbenga Adewuyi, Gbagada, Lagos
"Ugo Ozuah was an amazing guy. Ugo went to Kings College, Lagos. He attended University of Ibadan but finished from UNAD. He got married last week saturday. He was shot by the Nigerian Police 5 days later in
front of the UPS office on the Gbagada Express as he and his friend were flagging down a taxi cab. The police pickup pulled up and shot Ugo twice in his chest at close range as the bullet came out through his back. He was not resisting arrest, he was not arguing with the police, he was not asked to identify himself, he just stood with a friend.
These policemen in uniform were drunk, IG of police has said they were not his boys. I guess he saw them from his Abuja office. We may not get justice for Ugo but please help tell the world. It may be your brother, sister, friend, child, parent etc tomorrow God forbid. But there has to be a process for the Police force. If they suspected Ugo he should have been asked to identify himself. Not killed like an animal and left to die. Thank you and God bless."

How to dress an Hour glass shape.

By Annabel Meggeson
Characterised by a curvy bust and hips with a slimmer waist, the hourglass body shape is often thought of as the ideal female body shape. To make the most of your gorgeous figure, read on for tips on dressing an hourglass.
Unfortunately, not all styles will flatter curvy bodies. High-fashion stores in particular can be a frustrating
experience for hourglass women - the clothes often seem designed to fit 'straight-up-and-down' figures.
"Hourglasses may feel frustrated at not being able to wear ultra-fashionable styles, but certain items will
always suit you, whether that's a fitted jacket, strapless dress or crisp shirt (you fill it so well)," says stylist Emer Dewar. "And if you want to make a nod to fashion, you can do it with colour, fabric and accessories."
Use puff-sleeves or epaulettes on a jacket to emphasise your shoulders. An A-line skirt teamed with a fitted top will mirror your fabulous hourglass shape. Make like Marilyn Monroe and use some 50s-inspired accessories to complete your look.
A peplum detail on a skirt creates a line down from the waistline to the hip, which will exaggerate your curvy hips.
You can wear any shape skirt, but the pencil skirt is the most flattering on you. Team with a simple shirt, tucked in and unbuttoned to reveal a little cleavage.
Straight-legged jeans that skim your thighs and are cropped at the ankle work well for you. Bootcut jeans will balance your curves - look for darker shades and ones with large pockets on the bum.
High-waisted, wide-legged trousers will emphasise the curve of your hip without making your bottom half look big.
Use draping to your advantage. Not only will it accentuate your curves - look for diagonal draping from the waist to hip area - but it will also disguise the tummy area.
Wear fitted clothes but make sure they're not too tight. Consider going one size up so your clothes really mirror your figure, rather than pull at it.

Please Advice! The Father Of My 4 Children sent Me Packing Because I Refused To Suck His Manhood

"It all started well between us some years ago during our NYSC service

in the northern part of the country. We both were close friends during

our youth service, people used to call us 'oko and iyawo (husband and

wife in Yoruba) as at then. After the service, we lost contact and few

years latter we again met at a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC)

convention is Isse, Ekiti State. We reunited and that was how our

journey to marital world started.

He proposed marriage to me and I accepted but on one condition, 'no

pre marital affair' (because then I was still a virgin and a Born

Again child of God) he agreed to my term and we moved on. I was afraid

because he's an Ibo guy. To cut the long story short, we were united

in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, July 16, 1988. Our marriage is blessed

with 4 children. My husband works with one of the telecommunication

companies and always travels out of country.

Precisely last June, he returned from a trip and asked me to 'go

under' him. Jesus! I screamed, you mean I should suck your 'manhood?'

I asked him. He told me 'yes' and I outrightly said NO, that night, I

received the beating of my life. My God, I was mad, wishing the earth

could open up and swallow me. It didn't end there, he promised to

continue beating me until I obey his order.

There was a night, he threw me and my daughter out of the house, we

slept under the rain. I must confess, I regretted getting married to

him that night. I was inquisitive to know why he suddenly turned a

'that way' over night, his friend confided in me that when he

travelled to Port Hacourt recently, those commercial girls came to

"ease him" thought him the act of "going under." There was this

occasion, he brought in a girl and had slept with her in front of I

and my children, he even called me to come and learn from her.

(Sobbing) Last month, he finally threw my loads out of his house and

warned me never to return until I'm ready to succumb to his urge. I've

been wondering like a vagabond for the past 3 weeks now with my

daughter, not even food or water for the innocent girl.

"Please I beg you, I'm tired, I don't know where to go from here, tell

your readers to advise me. Should I bow to his ugly romance (which is

hard for me) or return his daughter to him and continue with my life"

Dear readers, your Candid advise would help this woman out.

Women & High Heeled Shoes

No one really knows why shoe infatuation is associated with the female gender. It is not like we make that much of a fuss over men and their Nike Jordan, so why pick on women and their shoes?
For some, there is just something about slipping into a nice 4 inch strappy heel for a night on the town.
Ironically, the shoes that women love so much are actually putting a toll on their feet, as well as the rest of their body. What is the culprit? Foot doctors and surgeons have been alerting the public for years now about the harm that shoes with high heels can cause. The worst of the bunch are the ones that present narrow toes.
These can lead to health problems without a woman even knowing the damage they have done to themselves. Some cases even result in deformities of the foot that just will not go away.
There is even evidence that suggests that high heels also cause arthritis of the knee, as well as other joint
disorders. Who would have ever thought that a shoe could bring down your health? This has led to the efforts of numerous foot experts, who wish to bring better healthcare measures to women who simply
cannot part with their shoes. Several orthopedic foot and ankle specialists have gotten together to approve a variety of products that will help in foot care. They will also assess which shoe selections are reasonable for the maintenance of knees, ankles and feet.
High heeled shoes have been the leading cause bringing women to visit orthopedic doctors, who seem to be seen by these type of doctors four times more than their male counterparts. The constant wearing of shoes with high heels or narrow toes have led to a high incidence in corrective foot operations. This is what happens when women choose fashionable footwear over health and many of them aren't even aware that they are doing it.
The results of repeated narrow or high heeled shoe wear of today's latest fashion trends have been compared to the Chinese practice of foot binding. Although women who endured this practice showed
signs of joint problems, they never sustained any bone deformities. It is usually the front of the foot that reveals common foot problems. Years of wearing improper footwear lead to bunions or other infractions of the toe.
These signs often surface in middle aged women. These problems are caused by increased foot compression and pressure when wearing narrow shoes or high heels. To avoid these foot problems, women don't need to discard their love of shoes, but instead make wiser choices when it comes to footwear. That means settling for a shoe that is light and comfortable and doesn't have a tight area for the toes. Also, women must stray from tempting selections with a high heel. In the long run, your feet will thank you for your efforts.

Body Care

After an exhausting day your body needs to be relaxed and pampered in order to get a good night's sleep. You must take care of your body not only in the day but in the night as well. While you sleep at the night, the body is resting and replenishing itself.
There are a few things that you can do to relax the body to help in the replenishing process. Here are a
few ideas for bath and body care in the night:
•Take a warm, soothing bath. Fill your bathtub with warm water and some lavender that helps in calming and relaxing the body and reduces muscle tension. You can add chamomile, which is a skin soother and helps in reducing swelling and pain in the skin. Lie in the bath for some time and let these herbs relax your body and mind.
•If you want to wake up with a tan you can use a self-tanning lotion overnight. Exfoliate your skin with a scrub and moisturize. Once the moisturizer is fully absorbed spread the self-tanning lotion evenly all over your body, working on one portion of the body at a time. Use wipes to wipe the tanner off your palm and fingers as you apply the lotion. Today there are many self-tanning lotions that dry in five minutes.
•Your hands are the first to show signs of aging and often neglected as well. Give your hands a new lease of life. Apply a generous amount of rich hand cream to restore lost moisture. This is an important part of night body care.
•While sleeping in your bed, ensure that your neck is properly supported through the night. Buy a good quality pillow to help keep the stress off your neck. Your sleep should rejuvenate you so ensure that every part of your body is taken care of properly.
•Ingrown hairs block pores and can cause bacteria to develop, resulting in redness and swelling. Use a cream that has glycolic and salicylic acid that removes the bacteria. Make it a part of your night care routine for a few nights and you will get rid of ingrown hairs.
•Your feet support the weight of your entire body. Find time to take care of them. If they are callused
and cracked moisturize them well. If they are cracked use a foot cream that has glycolic acid. Apply this cream before you sleep and slip on a pair of clean cotton socks. This should be another important part of your body care routine every night.
•Light aromatic candles in your bedroom. These candles will provide a soothing atmosphere and relax your senses. Just remember to blow them out before you sleep.
•Keep the humidifier running in the bedroom to keep the air moist. You skin will glow and be replenished
by the moist air through the night.
•Use a "hot stone massage" to heat your heart. This treatment that is common in spas can be done at home too. You need a smooth flat stone as large as the human hand. You can find one on the beach or buy one in a skin care boutique. Follow the instructions given below:
· Boil water in a pot.
· Add rosemary, clove and peppermint into the water.
· Put the rock into the water and let it stay there till it is heated.
· Put off the heat and allow the rock to turn nice and warm.
· Lie down in a dark or softly lit bedroom and place the warm rock between your breasts, on your chest. Allow the warmth and aroma of the stone to relax you and soothe you into a deep peaceful sleep.

Afari-Gyan Defends Creation Of New Constituencies

The Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC), Mr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, has responded to his critics on the creation of the 45 constituencies, asking them to propose viable alternatives in the formula for the creation of new constituencies or hold their peace. He said the formula being used currently was an objective one and had been tested before. He also asked those threatening to kill him if he went ahead with it, to be dispassionate and sober and reflect on the issue, since he was only adhering to a constitutional obligation. Speaking at a high level forum organised by the Institute of Democratic Governance (IDEG) on the theme, “Two decades of electoral reforms in Ghana: the biometric voter registration systems in perspective,” Dr Afari-Gyan took the opportunity to clarify his position on the creation of the 45 constituencies. Primarily, he emphasised the fact that the creation of the constituencies was a constitutional requirement in Article 47 subsections 1 to 7 of the 1992 constitution and the responsibility of the EC. But the crux of the matter, he said, was subsection 6 of Article 47, which stipulated that “Where the boundaries of a constituency established under this article are altered as a result of a review, the alteration shall come into effect upon the next dissolution of Parliament.” The newly created constituencies, therefore, would only take effect upon the dissolution of the existing parliament, that is, at midnight on January 6, 2013, he explained.
