Christ Powered Unions(CPU)

A central processing unit (CPU) is the hardware within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system. 

Many of us have laptops these days and they all pretty much look alike. But somewhere right down the front of the laptop is a small sticker
'Intel inside'. Now what this small sticker is telling you is about the microchip processor (the brand of brains - the mind of the computer) inside the laptop. Some brains are superior to others, so its what is inside the computer that determines its performance, not the outside!

Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 

As Christians, we have the Mind of Christ, Glory!...so our sticker will say 'Christ Inside' Christ is our CPU!

 As we journey on to surrounding ourselves with Hesed love friendships, we must prayerfully seek the grace to  have 'Christ Powered Unions'' - increase our wordly friendships and.consciously decease our worldly friendships by His Grace.

There are many kinds of friendships/unions powered by many different things. There are friendships powered by mutual love for soccer -sports, gadjets, travel, causes, TV, radio, certain films, cars, dancing, sex, alcohol, drugs, clothes-shopping, men/women hunting, business, horses, jewelry, movies,certain genre of music, theatre, arts, culture, ethnic backgrounds, money, mutual friends, mutual suffering or a common enemy!

 O, but the best friendship/union is that which is powered by a mutual hesed love for The Lord powered by Christ !  1 John 3:16 expands the idea of laying down your life for a friend as a form of love, (Hesed) saying“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 

Ephesians 3 v 18-20:  18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

It says here that we will be made COMPLETE with ALL the FULLNESS of LIFE and POWER that COMES from God, ONLY WHEN WE EXPERIENCE The Love of Christ - when we are given the POWER to UNDERSTAND The Hesed Love of Christ - how wide, long, high and deep His love is, enough to die for us! in His new covenant of love He shared with us in His body and Blood - bringing us salvation and not destruction! Christ powered love! Until then, we are INCOMPLETE! 

We are Incomplete UNTIL we EXPERIENCE The LOVE of Christ! NOTHING ELSE COMPLETES US! If CHRIST IS NOT IN IT, LOOK FOR AN EXPIRATION DATE!

I remember my first year at Rutgers university, as a young African College of Engineering student, thousands of miles away from home. I needed friends. 

The first friend I had was called Laura. She was a great looking, hip,  young lady with lots of friends. She and I were supposed to become 'sisters'. But our friendship was given a forced landing right after we attended our first party together! I did not know Laura's many friends were all into two 'then 'hip'  things: drugs and wild parties! And if you joined them, you must do as they do, or else you were banned from their parties! 

They passed a rolled marijuana joint to me, I took a puff and started coughing very badly. Infact Laura was embarassed, as her friends laughed at me. I did not like it, so as they passed the next round, I said no. Then Laura said if I did not take it that would be the end of her bringing me to any of her parties! 

That was it, I was never invited to anymore of Laura's parties, nor did I ever ask to go! Friendships powered by any other thing apart from Christ, have an expiration date! If you truly want a hesed love friendship, relationship or marraige without an expiration date, then prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to kick in His power to wipe out any expiration date, and to give you a Christ Powered Union (CPU)!.

Glory be to God, I was soon blessed with a Christ Powered Union/friendship - HESED, at last! He gave me another friend, Lorena, in college, through whom I became born again and we remained wordly friends! Then came Greg, who is now a Pastor and we have remained Hesed friends and John, another Hesed college friend who is also now working in our Father's Kingdom business!

Ephesians 5 v 18-20, says we should not be filled with wine, but with the Holy spirit, and we should be speaking to each other in psalms, singing to the Lord...that was my friendship with Lorena. We studied together,went to church together, and helped each other to excel in our classes. I did not understand nor know of Hesed love then, I know my life would have been different! This is why I am committed to us teaching our youth EARLY about Hesed love! I wish I had known much earlier, I wish Laura would have known too!

 This brings me to the man after God's own heart, David, and his Hesed love friendship with Johnathan, son of King Saul. I Sam 18 v 1-4 says:

18 v1 Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 2 Saul took him that day, and would not let him go home to his father’s house anymore. 3 Then Jonathan and Davidmade a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. 4 And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.

May each one of us reading this be blessed with this Christ powered kind of hesed love! It was their SOULS that were FIRST KNIT together, not their bodies, not their looks! When Samuel was going to anoint David in 1 Samuel 16:7 , the word says: - "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (NIV)

' The soul of Johnathan was knit to the soul of David, and Johnathan loved him as his own soul.' Wow! They just met and there was an instant spiritual connection....it was the Holy spirit operating in both, making them ONE. Christ says,' I and the Father are ONE.' (John 10 v 30). Over ten years ago, I met my friend Veronica. The first day we met, she gave me a bible and we have remained Hesed sisters since! My sister Maame, my spiritual sister and friend, was by me prayerfully, spiritually warring for me in Ghana through all my trials, a truly CPU!

v3 Hesed love is love in action: Then Johnathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul and in v 4...as we have always said on this journey...there is an ACTION that follows Hesed love...and we see Johnathan in action.

 Later when David puts his hesed into action, he does so even unto Johnathan's children - Mephibosheth, even after the untimely death of Johnathan, David transferred the Hesed love to the Children of Johnathan (2 Sam 9 v 1-13) as he had promised earlier. (I Sam 20 v 14-17). There was no expiration date, Hesed love goes on even AFTER DEATH...death does not part Hesed love!!

Jesus told the disciples that they will receive Power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon them! (Acts 1 v 8) Once you upgrade the CPU, you have upgraded performance!

 We now have a different processor in us, though we may look like other people..its the processor in us that makes the difference. When we open our mouths to interact, it must be clear, what processor is in us. 

Jesus said, how we love one another is what will let people know that we are His followers. Let's ask for the grace to go for Christ Powered Unions - lets increase our wordly friendships and decrease our worldly friendships and watch the beautiful transformation of our lives before our very eyes! 

No more relationships with expiration dates..only CHRIST POWERED UNIONS  filled with Hesed Love - WORDLY Not WORLDLY relationships! Everlasting! Amen!
